TCI is going into damage control after the SBS TV station released a documentary about TCI and its leader Sharon Pearson who also goes by he names Theresa and Remi

All over TCI Facebook pages she is getting students to post live testimonials about how wonderful TCI is. I wonder how many did that for a few minutes of fame or in the hopes of getting paid clients from it. Who knows maybe it its a condition of going to her live training. I regret ever signing up with TCI and having to endure the potty mouthed Narccisst that runs it.

Please think long and hard before signing up with TCI - there are better coaching courses you can do and still have change left to have a decent holiday at the end of training. None of the recognised Coaching Bodies will have anything to do with TCI - so they have made their own Coachng bodies up of which TCI is the only member.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Location: Perth, Western Australia

Has anyone had any luck getting a refund from TCI or able to chat about what legal proceeding can be taken? Thank you

Oh no Im I'm through the same thing can anyone help me or any advice

Any advice please...... I joined TCI 6 months ago and got sucked into upgrading to Masters.

I have for 3 months now been trying to withdraw with huge difficulty.

I have paid already nearly $5000 and now they want a further $5300 to withdraw for the offline and online products that I have received, even though I had barely assessed anything. Has anyone experienced this and managed to get out of paying the withdrawl fee?

Unfortunalty no, they encourage you to access all the products online when you join up, so that way they can slug you a fee if you realise the course isn't for you.

Maybe try fair trading and see if can get a your money back that way, it's worth putting in a complaint as the more comppaints made against a company the more chance of them being investigated.

Sharon Pearson needs to be investigated - the way she operates is so unethical, most courses have a cooling off period.

Once TCi has got your to sign a contract with them you can kiss your money good bye.

You have several options:

- contact your local State member; you live in Sydney so contact your local rep in the NSW parliament. They can help you with consumer law

- contact Fair Trading NSW via email and do the same with the Victorian counterpart.

- If you have a few hundred to spare contact a local consumer law solicitor.

Unfortunately TCI have quite watertight contracts. However it is unconscionable to ask people to access all the course material and then refuse a refund when you wish to withdraw. It's misleading.

Whatever you do - do something - this business is money hungry and needs to be challenged.

Hi There CKK, I got conned into upgrading to the next level but i realised after a month i couldn't afford it as i had no work comming up. They are not easy to deal with.

They have sent me a few debt collection notices.

The amount started at around $20000, now its down to $4300, which I don't owe! Let me know how you have gone.

Hi there. I think this is a very recent comment?Do you mean that you have paid that much money back?? Or that THEY have reduced the amount you owe?

The owner of TCI, Sharon Pearson, has created a cult like following within the business. It's a deliberate ploy by her to avoid scrutiny.

It's also very scary. Sharon is not just an employer; she is infallible. TCI is full of people who want to be just like Sharon. Most of the students can barely etch out a living from the coaching business but they exaggerate their success as this makes them an integral part of the community.

It gives them "currency".

So much is wrong with TCI. They promote themselves as "alternative" but they are quite insane.

Spot on - many of the people on TCIs website that claim they are successful coaches are barely making a living from coaching. They exaggerate their success.

Then they get praise. They become "famous" within TCI. Many of the events at TCI are staffed by former TCI students who do not get paid for their efforts.

Students working for free? This place is truly nuts.

There are more than 40

misled and unhappy students.

People are just purely scared to stand up against TCI.

Most students that started a course with me a few years ago are still with the school digging themselves deeper into debt... this is how much influence and power this school has got over people...

but debt is not the worst part...

it is brainwashing that they undergo...

depriving them of genuine empathy and reasoning thinking... not mentioning political agenda

thrown into the mix...

If you are still with the school maybe it is time to put your thinking cap on and evaluate the content that you hear at the seminars...

And current students need to actually add up how many $$$$ they have handed over to The Coaching Institute.

Guest

I really hope justice will catch up with that school...

The free events at The Coaching Institute are terrific. The trouble is you then pay $3997 for another event.

Then $4997 for another qualification. The end is never in sight.

It is "cultish". When you agree to part with your dollars they do a group dance around the office.

You feel good. Then the credit card debt arrives. What an expensive dance that was!

It's like a club of friends but it's not cheap.

Better to join your local drama club or book club if you need friends.

But if you get invited to a free event it is worth the effort.

I agree with this comment. Attend the free events.

But never, ever hand over your credit card or agree for them to debit your savings account for any additional courses.

Their qualifications are only recognised by one other place on this planet - The International Coach Guild - and The Coaching Institute own the Guild!

Do not attend a free event. That is the way they lure people...they ll keep your details and never leave you alone. This is a cult

Guest

This school is protected by our government organisations...our government agencies use their coaches...our main banks are contracted to their coaches...

And they:

-degrade women to sexual objects and subservient roles because whatever happens to you you attracted it

- if you are problem to the growth of their business you will be cut off from any help and family because they claim there is no unconditional love

-they will spread gossips about you so will have hard time to find employment or you will be directed to work for companies that are contracted to them.

Moving on with life after TCI is incredibly hard. It is not a school it is a cult that you can't get away from...
